We welcome you to Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Thazhathangadi, Kottayam. The Vidyalaya which took its inspiration from the noble ideals of Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda, founder of the Chinmaya Mission Worldwide, began in a small way.

Since then, the school has grown from strength to strength. It now occupies a space of over three acres of land and playing fields. It is in this ambiance of restfulness and tranquility that we teach the students to enquire, experiment, and discover.

The school imparts quality education targeted at fostering all-around development in students. Qualities of head, hands and heart are all emphasized so that one doesn’t grow at the expense of the others. Be it in the field of academics, sports, culture, or information technology our students have achieved excellence in all of them. Reaching out to those less fortunate is a cornerstone of our educational philosophy. With God’s grace and Pujya Gurudev’s blessings, the Vidyalaya is all set to scale greater heights in the years to come.

Each child is given importance, and his or her worth is appreciated. Each child's birthday is a celebration, with a special song (written by Pujya Guruji) sung at the school assembly. The atmosphere at the Vidyalaya is homely and loving. The staff and management genuinely care for the children, and for one another, and this is reflected in the Vidyalayas steady progress.
